The winter of 2022/2023 is almost over and a gas shortage has been avoided. Based on the amended EnSiG and EnWG, Trading Hub Europe (THE) successfully secured the supply of natural gas in close cooperation with the market participants, the BNetzA and the German government.
Sopra Steria was able to support THE quickly and in a targeted manner by mapping essential process parts in the implementations for the Strategic Storage Based Options (SSBO), the settlement of the procurement of the natural gas of the national gas reserve as well as the implementation of the gas storage levy.
Having reached this milestone and after a short breather, we look forward to continuing to work together with Trading Hub Europe in 2023 to ensure security of supply in Germany and to stabilize the newly established processes.
