Sopra Steria SE, a European Public limited Company (SE) with its office in Hamburg, registered at the Hamburg District Court under HRB 151350 (hereinafter referred to as "Sopra Steria" oder "We", attaches great importance to the protection of the privacy of its users (hereinafter referred to as "You"). As the company publishing this website (the "Site") and responsible for processing any personal data concerning you that may be collected from you on the site, the present Privacy Notice is intended to inform you about the nature of the data collected when you consult and use our site and the conditions for processing this data.

2. To what kind of personal data are we referring?

The different categories of personal data collected in the context of the services offered on our site are notably the following:

  • Identification data (first name, last name, contact data (postal or e-mail address, telephone)),
  • Navigation and connection data (including the web pages visited, your computer’s IP adress, browser type and browser settings, connection logs, including date and time of retrieval, destinations called, loading times of our site),
  • Content data (destinations called, loading times of the web pages visited, amount of data transferred and transfer status).

3. What are the purposes and justification for data processing?

Personal data is collected for the purposes described below. For each of the objectives, we have also specified the reason why personal data processing is necessary:

4. Who are the recipients of the personal data and where is it transferred?

Depending on the processing purpose, your personal data may be processed by the authorised personnel (marketing, sales, customer relations, delivery and quality management, human resources and support departments) of the Sopra Steria Group.

Your personal data may also be processed by third party service providers acting on behalf of Sopra Steria, in particular the service providers in charge of the site and marketing actions. We may also be required to disclose your personal information:

  • to third parties in the context of any merger, acquisitions, partial sale of assets or other operations relating to Sopra Steria or one of its Group companies.
  • to respond to requests from authorities, if the law or a decision of a court or competent authority requires us to do so, or if such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights.

Such disclosure is limited to what is strictly necessary to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If these recipients are located outside the European Union, the transfers will be made on the basis of the transfer mechanisms provided for in the Regulation. You can obtain information about the transfer mechanism used by contacting us as specified in the "Contact" section below.

5. Involvement of service providers

To provide this site and for the aforementioned purposes, your data may be passed on to technical service providers who support us (e.g. website hosting, support, quality assurance or mailing service), which we have of course carefully selected and commissioned in writing. These service providers are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored by us. Otherwise, your data will only be passed on to other third parties if this is expressly stated in this privacy notice or if we are legally obliged to do so.

6. Data security

We use technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data that is generated or collected, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or attack by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Your personal data is also encrypted using SSL/TLS technology to prevent access by unauthorized third parties.

7. How long is personal data stored?

We only store your personal data for the time necessary for the above-mentioned purposes or to enable us to meet our legal obligations.
The storage periods applicable to personal data collected on the site are as follows:

  • as long as your user account remains active,
  • as long as we keep in touch with you through our promotional activities and three (3) years after the last interaction, unless you object when you receive one of our prospecting messages,
  • the duration provided for by the applicable law: (i) IP addresses collected for security purposes will not be retained for more than 10 days and (ii) cookies and other tracking devices used on our site are retained for a period not to exceed thirteen (13) months. For more details, please refer to the "What are cookies" section below.

It is possible that we may need to keep your personal data in archives beyond the above-mentioned period to comply with the legal obligations incumbent on us or, if necessary and in consideration of the statute of limitations, to enforce our rights.

Once the personal data is no longer required for the purposes or for archiving to meet our legal obligations or to comply with the applicable statute of limitations, we ensure that it is completely destroyed or made anonymous.
