Gas and electricity price brake with cpX.Energy

| minute read

The Federal Government has passed the laws for the gas and electricity price brake in order to relieve end consumers from the increased energy costs in 2023.

These laws provide that a final consumer is credited monthly with a relief amount determined individually for each withdrawal point. The credit is made by the energy suppliers, who are reimbursed the amount by the federal government. The calculation logic depends on the size of consumption, the load profile type and other criteria.

Due to the immense effort involved in the implementation in the IT systems and the short time until the first productive application, the topic has already been hotly discussed for some time in the user community of suppliers who bill with cpX.Energy and is now being addressed.

Sopra Steria supports the suppliers in this process with the proven flexibilities in product modelling as well as the extensive reporting module of the cloud platform solution cpX.Energy. Sopra Steria's consultants are also ready to support the implementation in the companies both technically and professionally.
