After a project duration of only six months and two months of parallel operation, GASX GDM – the standard solution from Sopra Steria Consulting for remote meter reading and measured value processing – successfully went live at German TMZ Thüringer Mess- und Zählerwesen Service GmbH in January 2019. The project’s success is based on a number of factors, including a sophisticated software solution, professional project handling and a trustful atmosphere in the joint project team. The high technical expertise of the TMZ department in charge and the many years of experience of the Sopra Steria Consulting staff ideally complemented each other here.
GAS-X GDM has been integrated into a complex TMZ process landscape with high availability requirements:
- Hourly retrieval of several hundred metering locations
- Control system interface, gas quality reconstruction, market communication
- Operation as application cluster with multiple server nodes
