The German municipal utilities SW Hamm shift metering processes to cpX.Energy platform

| minute read

Sopra Steria has won Stadtwerke Hamm (Hamm municipal utilities) and Energie- und Wasserversorgung Hamm (Hamm energy and water supply) as another new customer for the SaaS platform cpX.Energy in the metering version.

The processes for remote meter reading (ZFA) and meter data processing (MDM), as well as energy quantity determination for power-metered customers and systems (RLM), will be removed from the on-prem systems and moved to the cloud solution as part of an onboarding project. Data exchange with the platform takes place via standardised EDIFACT messages.

The monthly billing model of the SaaS platform is based on a metering-point-oriented model. The platform processes are set up within the framework of Sopra Steria's certified Information Security Management System (ISMS), taking into account the recommendations of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and using the BSI C5-certified cloud service of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

SW Hamm GmbH and its subsidiary Energie- und Wasserversorgung Hamm mbH ensure reliable electricity, water and gas transport in the Hamm region.
