EAM Netz has commissioned Sopra Steria to implement a Meter Data Management solution. The distribution grid operator from Kassel will be using our cloud platform cpX.Energy for the measurement data processing in the future. It is used in the software-as-a-service model according to a scalable cost model.
The scope of the process includes, among other things, determining the amount of energy based on the amended DVGW worksheet G685, a mixed calorific value calculation for the local grids, measurement data management for the heat meters and market communication with grid customers and market partners.
EAM Netz GmbH, headquartered in Kassel, ensures reliable electricity and gas transmission in large parts of Hesse as well as in southern Lower Saxony and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The grid comprises around 50,000 kilometers of electricity and natural gas grid for the secure supply of 1.4 million people in the centre of Germany.
