It's a match: LNG and cpX.Energy

| minute read

Germany continues to diversify its natural gas portfolio. LNG plays an important role in the substitution of Russian natural gas supplies. LNG stands for Liquefied Natural Gas and thus for natural gas liquefied (to -164 °C) or liquefied natural gas.

According to media reports, the first terminals in Wilhelmshaven and Lubmin have been successfully commissioned. LNG must first be regasified (converted into natural gas) before it can be fed into the German transport networks.

But how much does it cost to transport LNG?

To find out exactly, the cpX.Energy software for TSOs is being extended. LNG points can thus be created and billed in cpX.Energy. The special feature of these points is that the capacity bookings, similar to the VIP points (Virtual Interconnection Points), are distributed to the involved partners according to special keys in a sum-preserving manner.
