The German system operator EAM Netz moved its metering data management processes to Sopra Steria's cpX.Energy platform solution.
This includes the processes for determining energy quantities (RLM) for the entire grid with all sub and local grids of EAM Netz and the services for other system operators. Metering data is processed for the gas and district heating sectors.
The platform integrates into the process landscape of EAM Netz by the exchange of defined market messages.
All internal and external access to the platform is encrypted. For user authentication, EAM's Identity Provider (IdP) was connected to enable single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA), among others.
The competent cooperation between EAM Netz and Sopra Steria enabled the platform processes to go live in a short implementation period, compared to conventional systems.
EAM Netz GmbH ensures reliable electricity and gas transmission in large parts of Hesse as well as in southern Lower Saxony and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The grid comprises around 50,000 kilometres of electricity and natural gas grid for the secure supply for 1.4 million people in central Germany.
