After a one-year project phase, the capacity marketing and transport handling processes using GAS-X Grid were successfully put into operation on schedule at Gastransport Nord in Oldenburg, Germany.
This makes GTG Nord the fourth TSO for whom Sopra Steria provides the complete end-to-end portfolio for all value-adding core processes concerning gas transmission system operators: marketing, processing and billing.
A major task in the project was the implementation of the processes for the Virtual Interconnection Point (VIP) between the market areas GASPOOL and TTF (Netherlands), which will be operated jointly by GASCADE Gastransport, Gastransport Nord and Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services by 1 April 2020.
