VNG Handel & Vertrieb takes operational responsibility for the balancing group management processes for its own trading house VNG Austria. VNG Austria supplies industrial companies, power plants, commercial customers and municipal utilities throughout Austria with natural gas.
Our product .BCM supports the processes allocation data reception, plausibility check, sales plan determination, clearing as well as balancing group cost check.
In the run-up to the project, it was examined whether the system developed for the German market was also suitable for mapping the Austrian balancing model. It turned out that the Austrian balancing model is very similar to the European one. Due to the flexible configurable market area model of the .BCM software, the Austrian model with the corresponding market rules could be mapped and the above mentioned processes could be handled on a daily basis.
Central elements such as balance group, balance group manager, supplier, distribution networks were harmonized with their German counterparts: Balancing group, Balancing group manager, Customer and Exit network operator.
The market messages ALOCAT, IMBNOT and MSCONS are similar but not the same as those used in Germany. For this purpose, in addition to the EDI mapping, some logic was implemented in the communication system.
